X-rays: When radiographs are needed, we use a state-of-the-art digital radiology system, allowing our doctors to quickly image the heart and lungs, abdominal organs, and bones and joints. We can also provide you with a link to view your pets images as well as instantly transmit them to our emergency and specialty partners when needed. We have access to a board-certified radiologist to consult on complex cases as needed by transmitting the images via the internet and often having their opinion in less than 24 hours.
Ultrasound: We can provide point of care ultrasound imaging in both of our offices allowing us to quickly identify or rule out many conditions. Using ultrasound alone or in combination with traditional radiographs increases our ability to characterize the nature of diseases affecting the abdomen and thorax (chest). This improves the accuracy of diagnosis allowing us to quickly determine when outpatient care is safe or when emergency referral is needed.
When more comprehensive radiology interpretation is needed, we are thrilled to offer access to a Board-Certified Veterinary Radiologist in our Bryn Mawr Office for radiology interpretation, complete diagnostic ultrasounds, guided procedures where appropriate. This gives us the ability to offer you immediate advice and treatment planning as a result of your imaging studies with no lag between having the study done, and the report getting to us.
